Can someone please help me understand g.hsv1/o.hsv1

HSV1 refers to the type, not the location. You can have HSV1 in the genital area or the facial area. You can have HSV2 in either place also. Some people get confused thinking that HSV1 means facial herpes and HSV2 means genital. They are VERY similar, and 1 prefers the face, 2 prefers the genitals, but this is not etched in stone. You can have either in either place. d
